The apartment is newly renovated and has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with hydro-shower and a kitchen with fridge-freezer, washing machine, electric oven and gas hob. The large split-level sitting/dining area has a sofabed and original stone feature walls.
Outside there is a private south-facing patio with colourful plants and views to the Mediterranean; the new pool (which will be operational from April 2010) has a large terrace for sunbathing and the BBQ and bar area for relaxing and outdoor dining. Situated amongst the newly-planted vines, the pool area has stunning views and, being on the edge of the village, offers a quiet place to read or watch the birds.
Valor is a typical Alpujarran village with a few bars and restaurants, a couple of small shops and a bakery. Granada province is one of the last places where you still receive a free tapa with your drink so lunch can be different every day.
The area is ideal for walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers or anyone needing a tranquil break.

Things to see:
Granada is 1 1/2 hours drive from Valor and the amazing Alhambra Palace is a must-see. The villages of the Alpujarras offer an opportunity to step back in time - men working the land with mules and the old washhouses still in use. Nearby is the troglodyte town of Guadix with cave houses, hotels and museum. Trevelez - the highest village in Spain and famous for it´s jamon - and Mulhacen, the highest mountain in Spain are also close by in the Natural Park.
Things to do:
The Sierra Nevada ski resort offers a range of activities all year round, as does the Puerta de la Ragua which is only 1/2 hour away. Toboganning, Sleigh-rides and Mountain-biking, in addition to walks in some of the most stunning scenery in Europe. The coast is less than 1 hour away and there are a number of resorts with great beaches offering a complete change from our mountain location. At Cabo de Gata near Almeria you can see a variety of wildlife in the nature reserve too.
